Zambian born Sean Clarke qualified as an accountant before the mad advertising bug bit. When a former boss in an engineering company went to work at Ogilvy, Sean followed in his footsteps and thank goodness he did! Sean joined The MediaShop as Finance Director in 1990 when the agency was still in its early days, having been founded by Dick Reed in 1988. Today he’s the agency’s Operations Director, looking after pretty much everything in the IT, finances and general services fields with a team of 35 assisting him.
Apart from his love of media, Kgaugelo is passionate about many things, but thoroughly enjoys travelling around South Africa and the world with his family, and watching a variety of sports. He wouldn’t say no to a good documentary so if you know of one, share it with him! Kgaugelo is also an ardent believer in the importance of understanding our diverse South African consumers - he spends time learning about different behaviours, what influences different groups of people and how to effectively communicate with them in their own environments.
Having joined the advertising industry in 2005, Gareth quickly made a name for himself in the industry. As a newbie he was invited to guest lecturer at the AAA during 2006 and 2008, providing unique insights into his first impressions of the workplace. From his humble beginnings at UM as a media planner, Gareth quickly proved his worth, landing a great opportunity as Senior Media Strategist at FNB, a position he held for four years before joining The MediaShop team.
