Media ShopTalk: w/c 22 June 2009
The MediaShop is very proud of the fact that each year we take on a handful of interns from various institutions and teach them all they need to know about working in Media!
Since 2000, over 20 interns have gone through our programme with many of them having flown the coup but some of them having never left. Of course we do have a couple who have left only to return a couple of years later with more experience!
Dumisani Dladla is one of our current interns. He has joined us at the beginning of this year from Cida City Campus where he completed his Bachelor of Business which is a three year course. Dumisani has decided to continue to study and is currently doing his MBA in addition to doing his internship in the stressful world of advertising.
We believe in giving our new interns the opportunity to show case relevant and interesting information and this week we have given Dumisani this opportunity. Attached is an article that he wrote in 2008 entitled: Ke Noko. Celebrate Africa’s Humanity. Please note that this is Dumisani’s research and opinions and this does not reflect the opinion of The MediaShop.
And to end – as you all know this weekend sees the semi’s and final of the FIFA Confederation Cups which is the first step towards the World Cup. We are less than a year away – so it’s literally around the corner!
We hope you find the article interesting!
